Mini Plantation
Each Mini-Plantation will comprise a 1/4 hectare planted
with 800 sandalwood trees and other companion trees. The
interest expires in 21 years. You may purchase 1 or more
Mini-Plantations.
Purchase your Mini-Plantation for AUD42,000 over 5 years
In return you will receive:

Title to your Mini-Plantation
registered with the Land Records Office of the Government
of Vanuatu

100% of the f.o.b. price obtained
from the proceeds of sale of the thinnings in Year 6 or 7,
up to AUD42,000

80% of the value of sandalwood oil
sold in years 17 to 21, estimated at AUD43,680 per year at
current oil prices
This represents an investment return
of 16% per year (see Cash Flow Analysis)
An outlay to year 5 of AUD42,000 has a potential to return
AUD218,400 in cash over the term of the Mini-Plantation.

Sandalwood Seedlings
The Mini-Plantation layout pictured left is a 1/4 ha
layout with tree spacings of 1.5 metres.
The dark green areas represent trees for nutrition
and wod protection. The 49 purple squares are local
nut trees. The small 's' in each of the light yellow
sqaures are the sandalwood trees that are harvested
(as thinnings) at Year 6 or 7 and sold for sapwood.
Once thinned, the remaining large 'S' dark yellow
squares represent the sandalwood trees which will
grow to be sold for their oil content.
These trees, along with the nutrition trees and nut
trees are located on a 3 metre grid. |
